Yodel-ay-ee! As we encountered the hairpin bends on the way up to this breathtaking mountain village we felt like extras in The Sound Of Music! It was just how you'd imagine a small and elegant ski resort to look and feel - peppered with wooden-clad chalets, ski lifts and smiling healthy faces. The kids were the stars of this particular show, as there were hundreds of them at the front singing along. This was our final Vogue Madonna performance until we return in November after my maternity leave, as mini-Madge will be arriving soon! So exciting. And what a lovely gig to end on, in a gorgeous place with such an appreciative crowd. And with the memory of the French man whose beaver hand puppet kissed me in the souvenir shop. Definitely a first.
Dundas Square was the spectacular setting for Vogue Madonna's headlining performance at the Toronto Arts Festival. Looking out at the sheer scale of everything you could be forgiven for thinking that we were in Times Square! The event was packed, with extra video footage being shown of people dancing in the streets outside the square when space finally ran out. We had the best backstage facilities ever, and the Luminato team were amazing. We spent a couple of days exploring and enjoying the luxury of The Four Seasons before rocking out with a fantastic Heart tribute called Heartless and partying with a pretty convincing Tina Turner! Big thanks to all who put their videos on youtube, especially to the one tagged with 'Madonna Is Pregnant'! It's had so many hits! Want to be our publicist?
